ABOUT

From Floor Plans to Finishing Touches

Our full-service approach means we can take your project from initial idea to completed build. With the help of a trusted drafter and a team of professionals, we offer detailed floor plans and elevation drawings for permit submittals—a step now required for nearly every kind of residential project in California. By handling design and permitting in-house, we stay one step ahead, which helps streamline timelines, reduce costs, and eliminate surprises during construction.

We also extend contractor discounts on materials directly to our clients—because improving your home shouldn’t break the bank. Our low overhead means we’re flexible on costs, and we’re committed to delivering quality craftsmanship at competitive prices.

Care, Quaility and Intrigity

Serving the North Bay Since 2007

Building Trust. Creating Comfort. Crafting Quality.

After more than two decades in law enforcement, I retired from the police force in 2014 to focus full-time on something I’ve always loved—helping homeowners fall back in love with their homes.

At Edmisten Construction, we specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels, ADUs, additions, aging-in-place updates, and even ground-up new construction. Whether you’re looking to modernize a single room or design and build an entirely new space, my goal is always the same: to create beautiful, functional environments that bring happiness and peace of mind to the people who live in them.

A Different Kind of Contractor

I don’t use project managers. I personally manage every job site, and I’m always available to my clients. You’ll never be left waiting on a call or wondering what’s happening next. I believe in clear, timely communication and showing up 100% for every client and every job.

Safety, cleanliness, and organization are non-negotiables on our job sites, and I expect the same from every subcontractor I work with. Most of the tradespeople I partner with have been working alongside me for years—and they share the same attention to detail and drive for perfection that I bring to every project.

A quote from my former police chief still guides me today: “Don’t ever let me hear you say you couldn’t do anything—there’s always something you can do.” Whether it’s sweeping the site or solving a design challenge, we stay proactive and committed to progress.

Built on Experience and Integrity

I’ve been in construction for over 40 years and have held my California general contractor’s license since 2007. My background in law enforcement and military service instilled a deep sense of discipline, awareness, and integrity—traits I bring to every project. I also use my safety and security expertise to suggest improvements that protect your home and loved ones.

One of the most rewarding projects I’ve completed was for a client undergoing chemotherapy. He needed a second bathroom finished in just two weeks. We got it done—one day early—by pulling together as a team and working weekends. That’s the level of dedication I bring to every job.

Our Process

1. Share Your Vision

It all starts with your idea — a new kitchen, bathroom, ADU, or full home remodel. Reach out by phone or email, and we’ll connect to talk through your goals.

2. Meet & Walk Through

We schedule a time to visit your home, see the space, and discuss your ideas in person. This helps us spot potential challenges and make sure we understand exactly what you want.

3. Design & Planning

If you don’t already have plans, our in-house drafting and design team can create them. If you do, we’ll review your architect or designer’s drawings together.

4. Estimate & Approval

We provide a ballpark estimate first, followed by a detailed breakdown once the project scope is clear. This ensures transparency and helps you make confident decisions.

5. Build With Confidence

Once approved, we get to work. Throughout the process, we keep communication open so you always know what’s happening — no surprises, just results you’ll love.

More Than a Contractor—A Partner You Can Trust

My mission is to help homeowners create lasting impressions of their spaces—without disrupting daily life or inflating costs. I don’t nickel and dime. If small things come up during your project, I take care of them. No hidden fees. No surprises. Just solid work and random acts of kindness.

At the end of the day, nothing makes me happier than creating something from nothing—or transforming a space into something better—and seeing the joy on my clients’ faces when it’s all complete.

If you’ve had a bad experience with a contractor in the past, I hear you—and I’m here to restore your faith in what this industry should be: honest, communicative, and committed to your happiness.
